VP of Product Development
We are looking for a Vice President of Product Development. Are you a risk management professional that is ready to transform the property and casualty insurance market for Floridians? We have the role for you!
Essential Job Functions
- Evaluate key data points and identify trends in saturation & capacity
- Form filings and product updates from market trends or changes in statute
- Collaborate with underwriting and territory management to incorporate agent feedback
- Develop a responsible growth and profitability strategy
- Work with actuaries to determine rate adequacy and pricing
- Aid in reinsurance modeling and placement
- Work closely with leadership to design, enhance, and update processes and craft best practices
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's in Risk Management or Data Analytics preferred or equivalent experience
- CPCU a plus; recognized professional designation preferred
- 10+ years industry experience with a minimum of 5 in Florida Property insurance
- Fluency in risk modeling (AIR, RMS, KCC, etc.)
- Foundational understanding of PML, reinsurance and risk of ruin
- Experience with creating, filing, and implementing policy language
- Underwriting and Form Filing Experience (I-file platform)
- Ability to identify opportunities and threats in the market and create strategies to help the company overcome them
- Comfortable working in an evolving role.
- Ability to influence, develop, and support a growing organization.
